About Me
When I was six years old, I decided that I would be a writer.
I've always admired the power of words to inform, instruct, empower, and enlighten. Words provoke change. They inspire action.
My path to health writing is a bit unique.
I studied Molecular Biology and Religious Studies at Pomona College, a liberal arts college in California.
I then completed a Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Psychology and Social Behavior at the University of California, Irvine.
To top it off, I obtained my medical degree from Johns Hopkins.
Throughout my educational experiences I could never escape my passion for writing. From crafting essays to blogs to scientific papers to health copy, I've created a diverse writing portfolio that speaks to both academic and lay audiences.
After a brief stint as a resident physician at Mayo Clinic, I decided to pivot into writing full-time. I am currently a freelance health writer based in Jacksonville, Florida.
I specialize in writing engaging educational content for people interested in medicine and health.
My ultimate mission is to use the power of the pen to improve lives and health literacy.
